LAMB FAMILY SESSION | TEALA WARD PHOTOGRAPHY

Each fall, I get excited to work with individuals and families preparing for their end of year celebrations by getting photos taken. This November was especially busy with family photography sessions. Throughout the month, I was able to work with a variety of family sizes. That is when I fell in love with this large family dynamic! IT was amazing watching all of them care for each other and work together to create a wonderful photo.

We started this family session with a standard family portrait that I knew mom and dad were looking for. This portrait often makes it on to the family Christmas card or yearly recap so I made sure we could check that off the list first. Everyone did so well smiling politely at the camera but I knew capturing each of their personalities was equally important.

After taking a couple of portrait photos, we were able to let loose and play a little more. I had so much fun watching this family interact with each other and loved when they let their individual personalities shine. I tried to focus in on each child, knowing they were all so different. My self assigned job here was to pick out which siblings shy and which were more outgoing. I also had the opportunity to see which ones were the most opinionated and the ones that were more passive. It was amazing to see their individual roles as members of this big family and watch how much love they all have together.

Family photography sessions are so special and I was thrilled to be able to share this time with the Lamb family. The location was wonderful with a running waterfall and their outfits brought just the right about of color to their photos. It was truly a great experience working together and I hope these photos help make the perfect cap to their 2019 year.
