Hello there! I'm Teala!

Most days you can find me trying to figure out how to best parent two middle littles. You know that time in childhood that’s the in between? Not really little anymore, and not yet teens but, pacing our way toward adulthood? That’s where we’re at.  I am married to another creative who isn’t afraid to rock turquoise jewelry.  At any given moment you may find us dreaming about our next big adventure.  I am always thinking about running off to the mountains.

I believe that life should be lived by the seat of your pants, trying to accept that you never really know for sure what is next.  I believe in crazy joyful laughter and messy kids with good manners and big hugs from your grandma.

My photography style? It’s real, honest, and emotional with a sprinkle of whimsy.  It is filled with the kinds of things that create pure joy and laughter, and real moments that are pieces of the story you are living day in and day out. All I ask is that you show up as yourself and trust that I can handle delayed timelines and a bit of chaos like a champ. We will chat about timelines and important photos well in advance so that I know what to look for. I also like to think making formal family portraits quick and seamless is my super power. No one likes to stand for those.

I know the stress that can come with planning a huge event in front of all of your friends and family. I know how badly you want everything to feel flawless. The most important thing you can do is be present. The planning and the conversations that we will have can make that possible. The expectation for perfection is way overrated, I just need you to show up with a level of trust that no matter what’s happening we can find the joy.
