5 things to ask yourself before you hire a photographer.
There are so many things to consider when you hire a photographer. Photos are an investment, they span generations, and there are so many styles of photography to choose from. If you ask these questions you could come much closer to making sure you get what you are looking for.
Did I look at their portfolio?
If you haven’t looked at a photographer’s portfolio both on social media and on their website you are doing yourself a disservice. When looking at their body of work you should be looking for things that resonate with you. Does the photographer post posed portraits? Are there a lot of details photographed? Are the photos abstract and out of the box? If you can decide which of these styles you appreciate most and then use the portfolio to match what you are looking for you will be much happier.
What are your expectations?
Make sure your expectations are reasonable.
Am I prepared to be in photographs?
The world tells us we need to be a lot of things. Most of those things set us up for dissapointment. Number one suggestion for anyone getting photographed is give yourself some love. Not everything has to be perfect for it to be perfectly lovely.
Can I trust this person to do the job I hired them for?
