Harmer Wedding | Late Summer in the Illinois Valley
Jessica and Adam make the most authentically kind couple. They contacted me last year to shoot their wedding, and I was thrilled to accept. We recently moved to North Central Illinois, and this was the perfect opportunity to explore new venues in the area. Jessica and Adam were looking for a location that would complement their relaxed and intimate celebration. They ended up choosing the Hundred Acre Orchard in Princeton, Illinois, and it is absolutely beautiful. The open fields of green grass, the rows and rows of fruit trees, and the stone aisle made for some gorgeous wedding photos. This location is so open and airy, and the indoor space is able to be decorated however you want it to be. It is a very laid-back atmosphere, which appeals to most of my clients.
The Harmers planned the schedule for their day so well for photos. They allowed plenty of time in between events, which is so much more relaxing for everyone and gave us plenty of time for portraits. If photos are high on your priority list, I would highly recommend having an outdoor wedding and planning the timeline around sunset. This is the best option for those timeless, gorgeous wedding photos. I was able to snag Jessica and Adam right at sunset and take them out for couple portraits. We started in an open, grassy field. The sky was so blue and clear, I couldn’t get enough of this location!
Jessica wore a stunning lace gown with spaghetti straps and an open back. The bridal party wore flowy, blue gowns that complimented the blush florals. The details of this wedding were so natural and beautiful. Jessica is laid back and wanted her wedding day to be fun. This is my favorite kind of celebration. The newlyweds were surrounded by friends and family who adored them, and the love they shared for each other was so obvious.
I am so happy for the new Harmers. They planned an intimate and unforgettable wedding day full of laughter and love. I cannot wait to see what the future holds for these two!
